Ghanaian international, Kwame Bonsu has started undergoing physical therapy and rehabilitation after successful surgery on his knee.

The Esperance de Tunis midfield enforcer suffered a knee injury a week after his team returned to training after the Coronavirus (Covid-19) break.

Upon early assessment by the medical staff of the Tunisian giants, it became clear that surgery will be required. Having gone under the knife, the defensive midfielder came out of the meniscus surgery successfully.

On Thursday, July 9, 2020, Kwame Bonsu took to his Twitter page to confirm that he has started work in the gym as he races towards regaining his full fitness.

“The comeback is always greater than the minor setback”, the former Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfielder said in his Tweet.

The 25-year-old is expected to continue the physical therapy and rehabilitation for the next 4-6 weeks before he joins his teammates at Esperance for training ahead of the restart of the Tunisian top-flight league
