thumb (5)“ The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry”. (Psalm 34:15)

To partner with the Almighty God, you must discard certain things that are characteristics of your life. In Genesis 17:1, God told Abraham it was time to be serious with his relationship with Him. But this was after 24 years! God told him from now on, no more nonsense. No more games, if you desire a meaningful relationship with God, no more compromises. No more keeping or frolicking with a strange woman or man in the office or somewhere else when your spouse is at home. No more tampering with church funds in your care, or seduction of young girls or sisters in your class, at school or work.

“Talk no more so exceeding proud; let not arrogance come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed”. (1 Samuel 2:3). God is not only interested in what you do but also your reason for doing it. God told Abraham He was ready to be his Emmanuel and Almighty Partner but no more half obedience. If God will partner you for greater exploits this year, you must stop cheating Him in tithes. No more lukewarmness. No more half measures or imperfect service or worship. According to Deuteronomy 6:5, your love for God must actively involve your heart, might and strength. Your submission to Him must be total so that if He asks for your greater treasure, you will hearken to His voice without murmuring.

God told Abraham to walk before Him. When you walk before Him, He will see you inside out. When you walk before Him, anyone who sees the two of you coming will immediately recognize God as your Senior Partner. He will be the One in charge. Most of us rebuff the word ‘control’ because we want to be lord over our lives. But if God will be your partner, you must come under His control. Psalm 34:15 says the righteous are under the watchful eyes of God. God asked Abraham to walk before Him so that by the time he would have become great as God had planned, he may survive the attack of his enemies. There is safety in walking before God. Also, you are assured of divine guidance because He is not just Alpha, but also Omega. God had already gone ahead of you and arrived at the destination He is taking you. He knows all the booby traps on the way so He can safely lead you there. The question is: How pliable are you in God’s hands? To what extend do you yield to the control of His Spirit?

Prayer point: I receive grace to walk with you till the end of my life on earth in Jesus name.
